Disable auto-login for Windows ME:

*This assumes that you only have one user and no password.
*Works for Windows 98 as well:

Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Network -> Switch "Primary Network Login" from "Client for Microsoft Networks" to "Windows Logon" then reboot.
